Note from the distiller -

‘‘This coffee liqueur comes off the back of our limited barrel aged release from late last year. I made an extra 15 litres for something very special, just like this. We used the same coffee (a naturally processed Brazilian) that we use for our regular coffee liqueur, but in this case I asked Sam at Wild Heart to push the roast a little bit further to give and extra depth of flavour to accompany the sweetening impact of the cask. And for this  extremely imited release, we finished the liqueur in an PX cask that previously had grain whiskey finished in it. It was the perfect situation. The cask was freshly dumped and the liqueur was being made at the same time. Meant to be. We let the liqueur rest at a higher ABV for just over three months, and the result was better than we could have expected. What we ended up with was an ultra rich and velvety cold brew coffee liqueur with an overarching and delicious whiskey flavour carrying it home.
